About

The guide you've been looking for.

Vera Lucerna was built on a simple idea: everyone could use someone genuinely in their corner — someone without their own agenda, who tells the truth, and who helps you build real momentum toward the life you want.

The Story

Why Vera Lucerna exists.

Vera Lucerna was founded by Bryce Fick as both a business and a personal commitment — a vehicle to serve others in a fundamentally different way than his day job as a civil litigator allowed. The adversarial nature of litigation left him wanting something more: a space where he could actually help people grow instead of helping them fight.

When Bryce looked past the woo-woo and charlatan image that often surrounds life coaching and discovered what it could really be for people, he recognized a genuine opportunity. Not to fix people or impose a system, but to be the kind of guide he and so many others had been quietly looking for — someone dedicated to helping you become a better version of yourself, on your own terms.

At the core of his philosophy is a straightforward belief: you're smart and capable. You simply need the right person to work with you.

What to expect.

Bryce's coaching focuses on helping you unlock your existing potential and direct your natural abilities toward your goals. Rather than promising overnight transformations, here's what working together actually looks like.

  • Realistic expectations and genuine partnership.

Coaching is not magic. How much we can accomplish together depends on your current momentum and your dedication to the work ahead. What you can count on is honest, consistent support — not cheerleading.

  • No agenda imposed — you stay in the driver's seat.

You remain the idea generator, the decision-maker, and the producer. Coaching is collaborative. Bryce helps carry you through the doubt and serves as a mirror — the creativity and direction come from you.

  • Systems built for who you actually are right now.

Not for the aspirational version of yourself you hope to become. Real change starts with an honest look at your current habits, schedule, and tendencies — then builds from there, incrementally.

FAQ

Common questions.

Coaching is still widely misunderstood. Here are some answers to common questions.

Is a coach the same as a therapist?

No — and the distinction matters. A therapist is focused on healing: exploring your past, addressing dysfunctions, and helping you reach healthy baseline functioning. A coach is focused on growth: moving from where you are to where you want to be. Think of it like the difference between a physical therapist (helping you recover from injury) and a personal trainer (helping you get stronger). The two can absolutely complement each other, and many people benefit from both.

Is a coach a consultant?

Not quite. A consultant is typically a subject matter expert hired to apply their specialized knowledge to your problem — they tell you what to do. Coaching is different. You remain the idea generator, the decision-maker, and the producer. The coach isn't there to prescribe a solution; they're there to help you find and execute your own. The coaching relationship is collaborative by design.

How do I know if I'm ready for coaching?

Ask yourself: Are you trying to achieve more? And do you have someone in your life who brainstorms with you without pushing their own agenda, who tells you hard truths, and who helps you build and stick to a real plan? If you're aiming for something and missing that kind of support, a coach is worth considering — provided you're ready to invest your time, effort, and money in yourself.

What does a coaching engagement actually look like?

Vera Lucerna offers two ways to work together. The System Building program is a structured, tiered engagement — a six-week program to explore your values and prototype a system; a twelve-week program to refine, problem-solve, and address the obstacles holding you back; and an ongoing arrangement for clients who want continued accountability and support as their goals evolve. If you're not ready for a full program, individual sessions are available prepaid and à la carte at $275 per session — a good way to work through a specific challenge or get a feel for the coaching relationship before committing. All of it is built around you specifically — not a generic curriculum.
